Jazz is not about when a song was written or what instrumentation is used to perform a song. Jazz is more an approach or Vibe or interpretation . Many of the standards of this genre were simply pop songs of the day. Q.S.Jazz was born from this very mindset. Utilizing a traditional quintet ( Guitar, Bass, Drums, Trombone, Sax, Flute and Vocals) Q. S Jazz performs material that might seem non traditional but is 100 percent jazz. Running the gamut from Paul Simon to Billie Holiday, Q.S. Jazz takes the listener on an eclectic musical journey .
Gracing the stages of Taste of Hudson ,Greystone Hall (Akron, Ohio) ,Wooster Jazz Fest ,State Theatre (Cleveland ,Ohio), Sandusky Octoberfest ,The Clarion Inn (Hudson ,Ohio ), Crocker Park , The Old 97, Vosh, Rockefellers, The Georgetown, Jilly's Music Room, Brothers Lounge, The Tavern of Richfield, Secret Cellar,and The Barking Spider, Saam Cabot and Q. S. Jazz has built up quite a loyal following.
